Easter Weekend
Well, we had a great Easter Weekend. It was fun to be around family again. Dallan and Allie were so excited for all the festivities. They got to go to two Easter Egg Hunts plus the Easter Bunny hid eggs all over our living room. Dallan still is finding a few that they missed. So here are some fun pictures of the weekend.
Here is Allie at the Albertson's Egg Hunt. She was taking her time picking up the candy one by one.
Here is Dallan and Allie with cousins. Wesley, Jamie, Savannah, and Katelynn.
Cousins taking egg coloring seriously. They were all excited.
Easter morning Dallan and Allie looked great in their new outfits. They even matched. I didn't plan that. I let Dallan pick out his own tie. Allie got a ton of compliments on her dress. She looked like a little princess.

So our ward had a pine-wood derby for the family. Guess who got first and third place!!! Dallan got first and Brent got third. According to Brent the guy that took 2nd was over weight so that was cheating.
In this picture Brent's car beat Dallan's by one wheel!
This is Dallan beating the guy that beat Brent's car. Because Dallan came from the losing bracket he had to beat him twice. So the next picture is of the final race where Dallan took 1st place!

Here is our winners in the Palmer family!!

New Year a little late
Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. Life gets away from us I suppose. We had a wonderful Christmas season. It was great to be close to family and in our own home again. The kids of course loved Christmas and are still asking when it will be Christmas again.

In January, Brent started back to school. It has been hard for him to adjust into being a student again and trying to still work to provide for the family. I don't really know what I've been up to, but I am always busy. We've had a lot of snow this year and the kids have loved it. I'm looking fondly back to our winter in Florida wishing it was like that. :) So we are doing well. Trying to enjoy the journey as we go through life. I hope you enjoy our new pictures.Friday, November 30, 2007

Home at Last
Well, I know it has been ages since I last update the blog. We are now home in Utah. We bought a house is Smithfield, which is just north of Logan. Brent is working with my brother-in-law doing construction and things are going good. Here are some fun pictures for anyone who wants to enjoy them.
Dallan of course had to be Spiderman for Halloween and Allie was a cute Minnie Mouse. We found the cool Spiderman glasses with flashlights on them. He thought they were awesome!

And Dallan turned 5 years old this October. He thinks he is such a big boy! And of course he had to have a Spiderman cake. It took me most of the day, but I got it done to his satisfaction.
And with our new house we have leaves to rake so here is a picture of the kids playing in the leaves. They thought it was a blast. We are going to have to re-teach them what winter and fall is.

On the Fourth of July we were able to go to a Cardinals game (baseball). It was a lot of fun. The kids really enjoyed it. And of course there were fireworks after that were great. I had a lot of fun too because I got to spend time with Brent. He has been working a lot and we don't get to spent much time with him so it was nice to have a half day with him anyway.

Well a lot has happened since our last post. My sister returned from Thailand safely so we were happy about that. But that also meant it was time for us to leave. We have made a lot of great friends in Florida and will miss them very much. Before we left we celebrated Allies 2nd birthday. Boy how time flies. So here are a couple of pictures of the birthday girl.

I know everyone is confused as to our plans, we are a little too, but our original plan of returning to McCall, ID didn't work out. Which we are really sad because we love McCall and are going to still try and go back sometime. We are currently in St. Charles, MO (St. Louis). Brent got a summer job here and we are giving it a try to see how it goes. We are getting settled in and I am getting to be a professional packer and unpacker. On the way up we were able to drive threw the coast of Mississippi where I served and LDS mission. I haven't been back and the devastation of Katrina is still very evident. It was very sad to see the once beautiful coastline look like a ghost town.
This was a ship that was left by Hurricane Camille years ago. It had been turned into a tourist shop, but now is very much destroyed. It was good to still see it there. It was one of the only landmarks that I still recognized.
This was at a rest stop on the way to St. Charles, Brent just had to play around with the camera. Dallan thought it was awesome!

So we will keep you posted on our plans. We should be here in St. Charles, MO until the end of August and then the "plan" (always up to change) is to get Brent back into school.
